1k-1500$ best ideas to put into gsr engine, HELP!
so i have a 94 gsr, just finished my exterior, and now i want to put some work into my engine. with college coming up i assume i'll only be able to put about 1000-1500 into it. i have the oh-so-common basics, dc header, exhaust, intake, plug wires.... i'd love to turbo/ s/c , but i doubt that kind of budget would be able to pull it off. if thats the case, what else would my money be most well spent on, to get the most power out of my engine
sell your POS header, intake and exhaust setup. you should have more than 2 g's to work with. That is easily enough to turbo your car and make 300whp.
ok lets try this again..i have a 1k-1500$ budget here, what parts/work would give me the most power with that kind of money
why dont you try and search.... this post is almost in this board everyother day... it isnt that hard to figure out.

wow, dont you ******** ever read
HE ALREADY HAS I/H/E
stop telling him to do it again
look in the classified, every now and then someone is selling a decent kit for like 1200...take it, and the other 300 and get that **** tuned

Just supercharge it, you already spent the money on the exhaust and header. I gurantee you can find a jackson racing SC on here for 1500. Look in the Forced Induction classifides.
sell the i/h/e and turbo your car. i/h/e/c is a waste unless you up your compression or get much nicer components than you can afford.
I agree. Save up more money and put that towards turbo. The basic bolts don't make that much power unless you do more serious mods like cams and headwork.
its only worthwhile if you get a nice smsp or toda header and some jun3s or toda Bs, then you need valvetrain, tuning etc... and for the $ you should have just turbeaued.

I vote for mild cams (maybe CTR/ITR cams), cam gears, VAFC, FPR and gauge and use the rest for tuning. (estimated cost if bought good used parts on h/t: ~$650. Tuning is probably about $150.)
What do you have in terms of suspension bits? Maybe use the rest on handling.
Good luck!

Damn you guys are all harsh... lets try to be constructive here and help this bro out...
okay since I DID READ the posts before... and you ALREADY have I/H/E and plugs. i'd say that that's it for more horses unless you want to set up for turbo. $1500 can also get you a NOS kit.
i'd say forget the power and go with timing. get yourself some cams gears and shafts. depending on where you want your power band you can advance or retard your timing to move your power (i.e. top end response vs. low end) your not gonna get any horses outta this, but you will have extra cash for a VAFC and find a place that could tune your ECU for your specific mods and how you want your car behave.
Now I know that you only want to put your money to your engine, but have you thought about a more responsive ride. For under $1500 you could get yourself either a lightened flywheel/pressure plate/clutch combo or shocks and springs combo with enough money for full struts and sway...
endless ideas with $1500.... good luck on your decision and college bro!!!

Agree.
But if are planning on going turbo, do alot of research before doing so.
