i have a 1988 crx dx and i was wondering if a 1989 civic si 's door interchangable with the crx... tried searching and no results we're found... any help would be greatly appreciated... tIA

lol its not even about being on the rag, its that he took the time to make up that lie, and within the time it took him to make that post and type that lie he could have easily used the search button and instead of wasting peoples time

and just so you know, the 88-89 civic doors do not fit a 90 or 91 properly either.

Can you make them fit? like, grind off the studs for the door seatbelts, etc? I have an 89 door that I got with my 88 crx and wonder if I can do it

How about the 92 civic door on a 91 CRX? i know there are some things but can it be done? ( no i haven't searched) ...please take it easy on me.....

 

it would have been nice to explain...is the whole structure of the door different? cause I thought 88-89's were the same.

I believe it's shorter due to the differing seatbelt placement.

 

i believe crx door bowed a little on the top "B" frame.
and the 88-89 civic hatch is square on the b pillar frame.

Not worth the effort to hack. Local junkyard is about $50

 

Both doors I have are from CRX's, 88 crx and 89 crx.
