Default starting to look for a new teg, have questions for those who know their Acuras...

I tried a few searches, and got more frustration than answers....
Some of these will seem basic to some, but remember I've been in my Del Sol for the last 4 years.....
I'm looking for a 4-dr GSR 94-2001 ...(I have a month old baby, so 4drs is big)
---Are they all OBD2? I thought that started in 96, but was told it started in 94 for the integras
---other than the front bumper / cosmetics what would make any year more desirable than others...

past these two questions I'm already sold on them and out looking...

if you know of a better place to find the answers I will gladly take directions as well

Thanks in Advance....

obd2 = 96 and up any model
obd1 = 94 & 95 integra any model

i encourage you to search more, but i believe obd2 is harder to tune.

96 and up models recieved a makover, the front and rear bumpers are differant. the headlights are positioned differantly and the mirros are differant.

To my knowledge OBDII started with the 97 model years. I also think you'd be hard pressed to find a 4 dr GSR. You'd prolly have more luck finding an LS or GS in 4 drs. I don't think that many 4dr GSR were really sold. Mostly 3dr fastbacks.

The differences in the 94-97 / 98-01 model GSRs where cosmetic. I read a post on this board that the ABS system changed from one that was intergrated to the braking system (fluid wise) 94-97 and changed to a stand alone system 98-01. Thats about it. I think. Good luck.

thanks guys ... it's pretty much what I thought, I know it's going to be a challenge to find, I would definetly like to stay OBD1......

I don't need the car tomorrow I still have my old Hatch, so I hope I can find one without having to travel the depths of the world ... chances are a 94 or 95 will need new bumpers anyways, so I can upgrade the cosmetics then (and I truely love the JDM front end -not because they are gheydm but because they look hella good) anyways my search continues, now I know to look for 94-95 maybe 96

good luck..I settled with a 97 4dr LS. (got 2 kids) and I am in Los Angeles...I found like 3-4 GsR 4dr's but they wanted like 8-12 G's for them and with high mileage, mods, etc. I gave up and got the LS for 4 g's bone stock with 64k miles on it...
a big step up form a 91 civic hb... its obd II...gotta start some where...
good luck again..

Thanks for everyone's quick replys and help, I'm searching hard, but haven't had any luck yet... granted I'm not in a giant rush, I still have two other hondas, and if I brought a third home tonight my wife would bug....... I'm hoping I don't have to settle for an ls, but if it's the best I find by the time I need it then it'll work, I'll just have to do some upgrades!!
