hi, quick question here. i have a friend who just got his permit and he asked me to be in the car while he drives (to be his designated driver). the problem is that i dont have the necessary 3 years of experience yet and i was wondering what type of ticket i could get if we were caught. AND if he got a ticket for speeding or something else, would i get fined too? thanks in advance, go accords. btw, probes suck

 

I don't think you'd get written up for anything. He would.

 

You more than likely wouldn't get a ticket, but if you got into an accident, then he would be charged with driving without a valid license and/or valid insurance. It's a nice little fine if I'm not mistaken. I don't know about NJ, but in IL it's a minimum of $200.
