This is going to sound like a dumb question, but where is the speaker that beeps when the door is left open when the key is still in the ignition, or when the seatbelt is not in place it will beep for a while?

The reason I ask is because I have 91 Civic 4dr LX, and that damn speaker beeps constantly; even when all four doors are closed.

I'm just going to cut the wires to it.

it's in the computer behind the fuse box. on the printed curciet board there is a little buzzer thingy, thats it.

This is brought back from the dead, i know... BUT for searching purposes for everyone else I figured I'd mention that on my '90 DX sedan - the beeping came from a box straight behind the radio. There is a brown big plug and a smaller green plug going into it on the passenger side. Pull the green plug and the beeping stops and so does the power to the seatbelts (so pull it when both belts are in the up position).

That beeping was FRIGGIN ANNOYING and now it is no more so i figured i'd share my fix.

 

in my 90 crx si it came from a little box that was part of the rear view mirror that had seatbelt indicators on it, and i just unplugged it.

 

I prefer to fix what is causing the false alarm than disable something that may save my ***

 

well if you just disable the dinger, the light still turns on saying theres a door open or your seatbelts off. and i mean if oyu always ride with a seatbelt and it still dings, then you'll still ride with one when it doesnt ding. and if your doors open... i dont think you'll die... look at your dash!
