Hey im here on vacation for two weeks in CA richmond and my cousin is looking for a B16 engine for his mini. Does anyone know of any places around here that I can search for a B16 for him. He gave me a couple junkyards to look at and i will try calling them but i thought people here might know more.

Plenty of places in CA. Seeing as you are in the area, make sure to inspect and have your engine tested. Heard alot of horror stories about low end shops trying to pass off busted, or stolen engines as legit fully functional ones.

ive ordered engines from Hmotorsonline.com (3 b16's) and Venus-Auto.com (2 RB25DET's and a 1JZ)

Hmotors is great, so is venus. if the engine you get has a problem they will take care of you. i would order (and probably) will order from them again in the future.

 

i don't think you understand how well hmotorsonline.com is, when people say they take care of you if something is wrong, they really do it at no charge, right now i dropped in a euro-r h22a into my 95 prelude, and am having some mount problems, steve wants me to come over and he'll give me some for free, just like that, i said i'd get the shop that messed up the mounts to pay up , and give that to him, "he said don't even bother, i've alreayd made money off you, for now i just wanna get you running and everything fine" or something liek that, i can't stress how great hmotorsonline.com is the motor was PERFECT with like 12,000 miles on it, runs SUPER quiet like a new stock car (until i put on i/h/e, but thats diff) ...yea it's great. i saw a bunch of b16's all over the plac ewhen i was there so i'm very sure you could get a good b16 from him...

yup steve is a great guy.... bought my h22 from him and its the cleanest engine i have seen yet

 

Haven't bought from hmotors yet but I really like rcrew. Nice friendly guys and they'll give you great deals. I dont know how they get anything done though because whenever I go to their shop they're always sitting around bbq'ing or playing games.
