noob ecu question
i am looking to get a spare ecu for my car. i have a 90' civic ex with a b16a in it. what type of ecu would i be looking for. it is odb0 and right now i am running a zdyne on it but it needs to be sent in for repair. i would like an ecu that would still allow me to utilize my vtec. also is there any certain online place i should look for one. thanks.
it use to run on a pr3 spoon obd0 which wasnt mine, but vtec didnt work on it. is their a particular car i can find in a junkyard that runs on a ecu that would work in my car?
Unless your local junkyard has either a wrecked honda with a 1st gen B16 swap, or something, I doubt you can find one that easy. Try places like: http://www.hmotorsonline.com http://www.passwordjdm.com http://www.jhpusa.com
im almost positive.. but its gotta be a pr3 or pw0 to run that motor and still have vtec work. unless you get into modified ecu's or other types of management. any obd0 ecu's you find at a junk yard wont allow you to use vtec. any one else confirm this?

Well I am not familiar with Spoons ecus, but a stock obd0 pr3 and stock obd0 pwo is what you need.
