Default hondata partial throttle hesitation gettig a tad bit worse

when i first got hondata there ws a partial throttle hesitation but at WOT theres none. eventually it sort of went awat as well as i just forgot about it. well its come back and it seems to get worse now or is much more notticable so i cant really put it out of my mind. is there something that could be causing this hesitation? or is it because i am running a hondata s200 with chipped P72? i heard that chipped p72 did this alot.
i thought maybe plug wires were going bad or maybe time for new plugs sinc i have about 6 months on these one step colder plugs as well as about 40,000 mles on these plug wires lol. (even though i rebuilt motor i never changed plug wires)

any ideas?

The new Rom Editor version is supposed to take care of that issue. If it is at various points other than the normal 600mbar then its something else. I had the hesitation and now with the new Rom Editor version it is gone. My tune is completely the same accept for the upgraded version.

i asked 2 different tuners here ni ga of hondata and the both looked at me like WTF. i asked them about the new rom editor version i heard about and they are clueless to it. the partial throttle hesitation is at about teh same rpm no matter what gear im in.

Upgrade your tune with Rom Editor 3.5.5. I am 98% positive thats your problem.

yup, its either the old version rom or bad tuning.

its not your plug wires....your car would misfire under load before it would mis under partial throttle

That is not normal. You should try to check the code and see what it is.

i do have a similiar problem... but its really mainly under 3000 rpm. say when im in 1st or second gear, when i accellerate from a stop sign or whatver rather slowly on less then 1/4th throttle, the car will accellerate nice, then feel like its not pulling for a second then accelerate, then do it again.. it doesnt misfire it just like pulls, then doesnt then does under light throttle and its only noticeable in 1st and second gear.

mine is doing the same exact thing also... did you get your car dyno tuned and it is still doing this? i was going to get a tune to see if they can fix it... it seems like it runs rich until you get wot right? cuz it boggs and pops but when you are WOT it runs fine

ya at WOT its amazing.. partial throttle is cool except like under 3000 rpm and in 1st or second gear.. and i bet its because on a dyno.. the amount of load may be a bit different.. therefor its not enough load on the street at a quarter throttle , under 3 grand rpm and 1st or second gear.. it is a little bit rich , i can see it from my EGT temp...

according to the code, its oxygen sensor, but i don't think my hondata is reading from it, its turned off.

My check engine light used to come on right at 3k and I could never get it to go away. Sent it out to Hondata and it's fine now.

I also get the hesitation issue as well. How old is the "new" version? I recently had my car tuned about 2mos. ago.

The new update fixed the misfire that was seen at any speed and was constant every 5 seconds or so.

Mine threw a cell every once in a while when we set the IAC valve duty too low. It would go away after off/on so couldn't catch the error #. IAC is at 60% now and I may drop it to stock 50%.

I don't get any hesitation.

you guys that are having the part throttle problems...how much actual street tuning did you/your tuner do? It sounds like most just made pulls on the dyno (WOT being all good).

Just got the update today. The car bogged bad on the highway, but now it's nice and smooth.
