Its been going on for a while now, everytime my car shifts gear or whenever the engine jerkks or whenever i go over bumpy roads, there's a rattling noise inside my engine bay as if there's something loose. At first it sounded like my intake rattling around, but i took it out and still the noise persists. Anybody with any idea about why? I heard it can be the motor mounts and its bushings, but wasn't too sure, what do you guys think? TIA

 

ya check the motor mounts make sure you check the rear motor mount under the intake manifold.

 

getting it checked in a few weeks, my assumption is the motor mounts too, any other educated guesses?

 

Possibly a loose/rusted out exhaust header heatshield as well if you have one.
