Default home made shift light

i was wondering if anybody knows where i could get a schematic for a home made shift light. i noticed that there was an open spot it the cluster where there are a row of 4 warning lamps and under it is a row of 3, like where the high beam light is and MIL light and e brake light, on the lower left is a open space where i want to stick a small red led to act as a shift light.

thanks
nate

do what i did.. buy an MSD rpm activated switch and hook that up to a light. I actually boguht a shift light that came off a tach and used that, so i dont have no gigantic space ship tach plus my factory tach.. i think that looks so crappy. but now, all i have is a shift light.. pure functionality..

uh, the stock tach is off by a bit and is slower to catch up than an autometer.

I bought a shift light from prostreetonline, well I got it from a member in my sig, for 40 bucks

All you do is turn a dial on the back to the rpm you want and hook up the 4 wires and it goes off, almost perfect and way better than the stock, pretty ******* bright though

I am going to buy the msd rpm activated switch for my d16z6 swap and use it to activate v tec. My question is can I also use it to trigger a shift light? One thing to remember is that v tec kicks in at a different rpm than redline. Will this work or not.
