Whats Up CRX Fanatics!
hey, whats up? just joined the site. i've got a black 1990 CRX DX (yeah, yeah).
im just looking around for some ideas for my car and stuff like that. my car is pretty much stock right now besides the alarm, the clear corners (still haven't been installed) and a Panasonic cd player, but i'm looking into some different mods(rims, springs...etc.)
so, just wanted to introduce myself... and say hi

welcome! all you need to know is that alot of the questions you have, can be answered by the search button...and dont mind the ******* flamers...other than that good luck!
Have you dropped the car yet? It wil most def. handle better and even make the stock wheels look good with a drop. I have 1.75 Intrax on my 15' LS wheels for Winter and it makes for a comfortable drive. If your planning a sawp, hold off on any engine mods. till you get the new one. Work on the suspension(struts,springs,etc/wheels) cuz they changed the overall look and feel that you will notice. Hope this helps.
Just get a body kit, paint job, carbon fiber hood, coilovers, rims, and racing seats. Forget racing there's always someone faster haha. I think I'm just tired of my blowing motors or having to fix something.
Welcome to the club. Let the hazing begin! muhahahahahahha
Dont go for all looks, you will be happier blowing motors, like asnx6pac trust me, he just seems sad. All go no show
If you got any questions just hit us up here or im someone.

the first thing you need to do to that dx is give it some breathing room. you have an air restictor in the throttle body that can easily be taken out. at the top of the throttle body (the black thing that looks like a metal carburetor that the intake hose is attached too) has four small screws that hold it on. i don't remember if you need to take the hose off or not, but take the cover off the throttle body and look inside. you will see a "large" piece of bent metal the blocks most of the air getting into the throttle body. simply slide that metal piece up and out and put the cover back on. after you do that, take all that plastic hose off the front of the car. there are a couple of pieces of plastic intake "hose" that go infront of the radiator to the front of the fender weld, and then up to the air box. remove everything up to the air box, including the piece that looks like it goes down into the metal. you will know what i mean when you see it. that will allow your car to have a lot more breathing room and you will notice a large difference. trust me. i also have a dx and it needs that to be faster!
after you do that, work on the suspension and slowly put in some faster mods. or if you want to get the car to it's "fullest potential" do the engine swap. but that is only if you want to spend the time and money on it. your choice.
good luck with whatever you do.
