90-91 Si and 90-91 DX 4dr --- same hubs/splines ?
sorry.. i'm in the middle of finishing the swap tonight, ran into this stumper, so i got a little antsy for answers.. heh
it's one of those "the other thread's title doesn't really ask quite the same question anymore, and i can't edit or delete the old thread, so i have to look like an idiot to get the answer i need" kinda thing..
thanks though.. i'm gonna go double check right now..

ok, i just removed my pass side axle..
stock axles and hubs - 26 splines
'supposed' Si axles that i got with the D16A6 - 23 splines
wtf ??
can anyone identify what those came out of with that information so i know what hubs/whatnot i have to get to make them work ?
:edit: the tranny end maches my stock DX D15B2, so i'm putting my stock ones in for now.. switching out the axles/hubs/whatever isn't any problem later on..

ok new question..
axle length ??
put my DX axles back in to take care of the spline problem..
pass side is on, finished, and done..
drivers side seems a little short..
is it safe to pull the hub end a little bit to get the axle nut tight, or do i have a length problem with the Si tranny ?

strange. i thought the SI Axles were all 26 splines, including 88-91 because thats what i have. The STD axles are 23 splines.....

well, i picked up a D16A6 with tranny (etc etc..) and the guy threw in his old axles.. i've got receipts and paperwork from where he got the engine, tranny, etc.. maybe he just had this engine/tranny in an STD and these were the axles he used ?
maybe instead of looking for hubs to fit 23 spline axles, i should just go ahead and look for axles that can replace my stock ones ?
