Default to sell, or not to sell? that is the question... (kinda long guys)

ok basically ive had it with going fast, or trying to go fast. i mean, hell my rex isnt even that fast. now heres the situation. ive got a jdm b16 swap in the '91 DX with I/H/E, clutch, mugen chip vafc and all that good stuff. however, the other day...when racing some stupid *** saturn who though he was fast,i missed 3rd, stomped the throttle, revved it to about 10-11 grand or so, and i think i might have done a little bit of something (keep in mind i have no rev limiter and what not cuz of the chip) anywho, it seems to me as what was first a "running rich" problem (high flow fuel pump with hardly any mods) now seems to be a different problem. i think i blew some rings. i know i need to do a compression check to make sure, but im pretty sure the compression/oil rings look like my grandmothers asscrack. my car hesitates a little bit but overall has a very strong feel (but very very smokey and stinky). anyway, after that long story, heres the question:

Should I:

1. Sell car and buy an econo box with intention of i/h/e then looks (my flame suit is going on as we speak)
2. Rebuilding motor with either ctr pistons or with the intention of running a small street/Auto X turbo/ daily driven turbo (something like 9.5-10.5cr pistons w. rods and all that mumbo jumbo and like turboedit (im leaning towards the free uberdata) Be forewarned i do not know much about FI, just from what i read on HT!
3. One of my friends friends has a 12.4 sec. '94 hatch for sale for 5000. ls/vtec with tons of mods. maybe needs 800-1000 bucks to be "perfect" Of course sell my car then buy his.
4. You tell me! What should i do??

SO????

just give me some opinions! im kinda depressed that this happend to my fresh b16 and between finals this week and all this other bullshit i just cant stress over it anymore!! just want some ideas. thanks in advance. oh and sorry if its confusing, im running on maybe 3 hours of sleep in the past 3 days. thanks a lot guys.

Id probably just to a compression test and try and figure out what the problem was first

If it is rings (dont see why it would be) then Id probably just use the oem pistons and get some stocks rings

My guess is you bent a couple of valves, 11000+ rpm would defientely cause that

Ohh.. There was a guy at MIR on saturday whos name I cant remember but he had a red 91 hatch with a jdm b16 in it and was running crappy times.. I'd like to check his motor once because he was running 16's but his trap times were that of high 14's..

Rev limiter won't help on a mis-shift.

I think the first thing to do is figure out exactly what you broke, and go from there. You might have gotten off cheaply and not broken/bent too much.

Sounds like it would be more fun and cheaper to find the problem and fix it.
