I finished my mini-me from a y7 to a y8. I have the y8 wiring harness and ecu, but the y7 body harness. The y8 ecu looks for the secondary o2 to come from the body harness. Being as I have the y7 harness I can't do this. I know that there is a fix out there, at least I have heard there is. I have posted this before and nothing helpful or nothing at all. Any help at all would be great. If anyone can email me the diagrams or how to's that would be great. daveyo10@yahoo.com. thanks in advance

i would just say to keep all of your stock y7 harnessing... and just adding/modifying what you have to

 

I went through this not long ago, pm me if you need to get into details.

Basically I just spliced an o2 sensor plug into the engine harness, which connects to the dash harness. 3 of the plugs are easy to find, once wire runs to the purge valve selenoid (common ground I believe)


This is the easiet other than running the new connection through your y7 harness.

Also would be easier just to convert to obd1 and run a p28,its a lot easier than hassling with taking the harness out to do the work needing to be done with the o2 sensor.
