Default crx's with teg rear disk swap, i need help

well i have an 88 si and im getting everything together that i need to do this rear swap and i want to tell you guys what i have and have done and if you see something i missed let me know

*got the trailing arms off and pretty clean and get new es bushing put in

*took everything apart (calipers, sliders ect.) everything looks fine except one slider is stuck but no big deal, clean it up and good as new

*got a rear camber kit, you know while im in there

*ordered some edlebrok stainless brake lines for a 90 teg, just for some insurance

*don't know what to do about the e-brake cables yet, a foot to long, any susggestions

*and also is there anything else i need from the teg, i bought the whole car for the engine and brakes, so anything that i can use from the teg i can strip no problem just let me know what you guys think.

thanx

If you can't loop the ebrake cables, then get 90-91 crx si e-brake cables.

Use the Master Cylinder and Brake Booster as well.

A great idea, since you have the entire car right there.

Don't forget to swap proportioning valves as well (unless your Integra is a GS or GSR with ABS).

No it falls right into place. USE A 10MM line wrench. ANything else will strip it, these lines are very tight.

I didnt change out the bushings (should have filled them but dont know why i didnt FAWK) Brake booster.. why would you use that from the teg. There is no need, wont make a difference anyway possible. Just use the 15/16MC (recommended) and the 40/40 prov valve (essential) and your set. i didnt even swap MC's. I used some russells SS brake lines, i bought mine for the 90-91 Crx Si and they fit perfectly. Ebrake cables were put in a half loop where control arm bolts to compensator arm.

Dont brake the 10 dollar a piece suspention bolts, its a PITA to drill the old **** outa the bushing. Take your TIME.

do MC typically wear out after 200,000 miles, well i guess anything does. reason being is that i didn't drive the car but a hundred miles before i parked it and i don't know the condition of the mc but if it'll help then i guess i have no other options.

anybody know what mc run with core charges?

Do you need the complete trailing arm assembly?

CRX rear discs are smaller than Integra rear discs.

Yes, you can use the Integra booster and master cylinder with CRX discs.

15/16" master cylinder came from the '90-91 Civic EX sedan. It will bolt right on to the stock Civic booster.

It also came from older preludes and integra's.

I got my MC and prop valve from the 91 Integra. It will bolt to your brake booster/ where the brake lines are.

I am sure . . . that I am incorrect Good catch, my mistake.

Learned something new today - my CRX and Civic both use the same rear rotors.

The disc diameter is the same at 9 and 13/32, but the caliper piston bore on the DA integra is larger at 1 and 9/16 compared to the CRX at 1 and 3/16. For the E brake issue, just switch sides. I ran the DA passenger side through the drivers slot and vice versa. It works well and takes the slack out of it all.

You will also be fine using the Si MC and Booster, just be sure to get the 4040 prop valve if you don't already have one.

I used to sell rear disc brake conversions, I measured 94+ Teg, 99-00 SI, and 90-91 crx si rear disc brakes and they were all the same. Damn I should have taken a pic!

you need the brake booster from the integra if you want to use the master cylinder from the integra, otherwise it wont bolt up... if he wants to keep his stock brake booster, then he needs the master cylinder from an older prelude, accord lxi or 90-91 civic ex...
