I just had my tranny ou tlast week to put in a new clutch and flywheel. and now i cant figure out how to get my speedo to work again. When i disconected it all i had to do was pull off that little snap ring type clip and pull the cable out of the tranny. well thats the same way i put it back together but know it dosnt work?!?!? anybody know if im doing somthing wrong??? How are u supost to hook it up??

Yeah mine did the same thing its a little part that goes into the tranny under the intake manifold ( i think its been over a few months now) and you just need to pull it out and then put it back in. thats all i had to do

 

About how much does the cable actually stick through inside that metal clip? It should stick out about a half inch if it is not out far enough then it wont read.

 

well what i dont get is the theres a little grove on the speedo cable for the clip but the clip dose nothing to hold it into the tranny. i dont see the purpuse for the clip
