So basically what your saying is that he needs money, right????

pucancakes

As much as you probablly love the ek front end, it would be a waste of time and money, IMO. Your better off spending it on performance mods.

But it is your car and your driving it. To each his own.

You'll need a tolerance for bad remarks and lots of laughs.

i bought my car up in dallas with that conversion already, he used fenders, hood, radiator support and headlights off a 96-98 civic. i hear some shops cut where the fenders curve and put them together but this guy just bented the fender a little. it doesnt look bad, but i wouldnt of mind having the oem front end.

tolerence i got. ever heard of ssm? haha. i could shrug off whatever being sed to me unless i wanna have some fun.

just a lil background info on me....
<|---- mini trucker. so i guess u can somewhat say i could performance near the end of the list... reason being on this board ive obtained a shell... needs an engine, tranny, ecu, wiring harness, fenders for the most part thus, this will be my beater so i can make more progress on my truck. i grew up on the import scene but never was into the whole racing idea (my brother was in ground zero and after his accident i kinda looked down on racing). which lead me into trucks. i prefer the import look on my truck than the whole bling deal. ill take set of volks over a set of boyd coddington wheels any day

i did a 4runner swap on my tacoma blah blah blah so i assumed of course i needed fenders, hood, headlights, grill, bumper, radiator support etc since that is what i did to complete the swap on my tacoma. i just needed a more in depth info if anyone has to offer... i love the eg hatch but i prefer it having an ek front where as other prefer making it faster.

do u have any pics of yer ride electron?

I've seen a couple of threads on a eg with an ek front end, try a search. You do not have to go any deeper than replacing hood, bumper, radiator support, headlights, etc... the tricky part is how you can fuse the eg and ek fenders. That's it. If you know how to weld, DIY! You'll save a lot of money for a nice paintjob.

Here's one I've searched for you...

Remember, it's your car, do any thing you like!

heres a link to one that was for sale on ebay. It's the only one i've ever liked, not sure why. all other EK front ends look really stupid and out of place on EGs, but i liked this car.

That depends on your taste. Others do it closest to the corner lights and shave off that bent part. Others cut it near the doors and retain the bend and fade it before the doors.

Did you have your eg in an accident? I do not see the reason why somebody would do that to a fresh eg. ek front end on an eg loks kind of wierd to me, and most of the HT guys.

If you want to do it, DO IT. I hate when people try to flame someone and try to talk them out of doing something that they want to do.

Post pictures when you complete it!

dunno if this takes your fancy, but a Del Sol front end bolts on jsut fine. I remember seeing a japanse mag where a guy put a EK front end on his Del Sol. didnt pay enough attention to the fenders. But if he did it then it can be done.

the shell that ive gotten is missin a few front end pieces (bumper, both fenders, a headlight....) im still debating on what i should do with it. i remember some guy trimmed his eg fenders to fit the fk headlights... i doubt i would go that route

I'm not sure I'd say the swap is worth it, unless you know a buddy that can do it for cheap.
