88 crx hf no rust or dings/with 90 crx si motor swap
Ok unfortunately i have finally admitted that i have lost interest in this project
and no longer have the need for it or room so my loss is your gain.
The car is a 88 honda crx hf white in color, it has alot of miles on the body 356,000 to be exact but still rides pretty smoothe for miles. The motor&tranny was recently replaced about 2 months ago with a completely rebuilt/mildly built ones out of a 90 crx si I hate to see it go because i have barely had the time to get the motor broke in right now the motor only has about 800 miles on it since the rebuild/swap
the new parts for the motor cosist of this-
brand new head gasket set which included--new head gasket, new vavle stem seals, new exhaust gasket, new intake gasket, new thermostat gasket
mild port and polish of the head done by a local reputible shop.brand new piston rings, main bearings, new water pump, new oil pump, new thermostat, new timing belt, new alt.belt, new a/c belt(only thing though is after finishing the swap i found out that the compressor is dead
but the lines are all still there just need a new compressor)Now for the tranny it was completely torn down and inspected which is why i found out that the snycros for 2nd&3rd were worn pretty badly so i opptited to have it completely rebuilt, and put in a act stage 1 clutch kit with act light weight flywheel(8.4lbs)
All of the work to the motor and the motor swap was done by a local ASE certified honda technician(mr.smalley at smalley's honda/acura auto repair) good friend of mine and has built over 70% of the honda/acura motors in town nice guy but very busy and hard to get ahold of.I have all the papers to prove the work and parts.
I have only had the chance to take it to a local track once just to test and tune with gutted rear interior 15 gsr fat fives and some cheap dunlop radials.
My best time was a 10.21 at 83mph in the 1/8 (sorry no local 1/4 mile tracks) my 60 foot time were in the 2.5-2.7 range. this thing is tuned to pull hard top end so that explains the bad 60 foot times.not to mention the tires arent helping the take off.
The interior of this crx is in pretty bad shape the seats are both torn/worn from the years the of use. passenger seat has actually been replaced with a si seat. The interior was riped apart by the idiot owner that i bought it from(he thought it would be cool gutted not to mention he also thought it would make it faster)So all the interior needs is some replacing which i had planned to redo with si interior just never got around to it,plus all the right parts in good condition are hard to find. I have pics but this whole time i've been trying to figure out how the ***** to post them with no luck so I can e-mail them to anyone who is interested.Unless some one can help me out.by telling me how too.
If anyone has any Q's feel free to im me on honda-tech or on Aim(sicivichb04) or e-mail me at 1hotford@myway.com
I was thinking along the line of 1750 for the car but will consider less.
