What would the best way to throughly clean this b16a2 head be? (without taking the valves out) Is it safe to valve seals to soak the thing in degreaser over night?

I would just take it to a machine shop and have them hot tank it for $20.

pull it apart, everything out. Simple Green automotive, in full strength. Spray it, let it sit, spray it, wash it off. May need a toothbrush to clean nooks and crannies. Of course, high pressure soapy water will work wonders too, if it is nearly steam.
