1990 Honda Civic violent clicking
I had front end work to the tune of $800.00 on my car back in 12/03. The mechanic who did the work had my car on a lift today, and he said he wasn't sure if it was the cv joint. He did say that it was definitely the ball joint. The work he did back in December was tye rods and axles. I took it to another mechanic, and he said the ball joint couldn't possibly make the noise that the car is making (he took the car for a short drive and got the car to make the noise on the passenger side while making a hard right).
Anyway, as you can see I'm not a mechanic, and I don't know what to do. The mechanic who did the original work said that he would, of course, replace the cv joint if that was the problem. Any comments would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Kathleen
