Default Need help h22 eg lacking something?

93 Civic Hatch EG DX with 98 us H22A4,p13chipped (spoon),saturated
injectors with no resistor box, ported,DC header,2 1/4 exhaust, intake, prelude trans.13"steeles only ran a 15.2 at 93mph something seems wrong . Drives ok but it has a slight hesitation low rpm, uses a full tank of gas every 200km's. Running 255lph pump stock reg. at 40psi. ANY IDEA'S why my car is so slow.I was told it should be in the 13's at 100mph.Could my timing be out using h22a4 distributor with p13. Any suggestions would be appreciated

Yes, it could be your timing.

Pull your spark plugs to make sure you aren't running too rich/lean/detonating. I was running lean and detonating at stock fuel pressure. I ran .3 secs faster by adjusting it two points up.
Btw, that DC header is ***. You'll want 2.5" piping.

What was your 60ft at the track? How many times did you run? What Kind of intake? Did you change your spark plugs/spark plug wires/dizzy cap and rotor?

40 psi on saturated injector's is waaaaay too low. It should be in the upper 40's I believe.

i'm running new stock plugs, nology wires, new cap&rotor.checked the plugs, electrode is light tan color but outside rim of plug is carbon black.I don't think the header is holding that much power back.Custom intake 2 1/2" kn filter.Ran two runs at same et&mph very little wheel spin.Sorry i don't have the slips for 60ft.

Check your timing. It can create a huge loss of power. Any CELs?

Crappy motor maybe? Last thing i can think of is to get it on a dynojet to get some objective numbers. That compression might be just a smidge low, but it's pretty darn good.

that is definetely an issue there....

i have the same ecu. and i had the same dizzy,. with that slight hesitation, it is usually do to the timing being off...

the p13, being obd1, u need to adjust the timing.. but, with that dizzy, u cannot...

what i did:

we had to notch out the bolt holes
(turn them circles into ovals/ we just used a round file, since its aluminum, its not that hard to file it down)
on my dizzy so that i could twist it a little, and in a sense adjust ur timing. someone told me that this would not work for some reason. but i did it. and it worked. sooooo.. u might wanna try that..

Checked timing,14deg.So no reel need to modify dizzy. When the car is cold it feels more powerful on small lobes then when its warm it lacks,Backfiring on decell.

I don't think that's the problem. Do you have a fuel pressure regulator or just the gauge?

If you have a walbro 255 then more than likely you running rich. I have almost the exact same setup as you and my fuel pressure is at 60 psi with vac. hose disconnected.
