Hey guys, I have a 1999 Honda Civic hatchback ( oringinally a dx ) that I have to sell. I'm just getting too much of the wrong type of attention ( thieves ) and I cannot afford to keep replacing my stolen or broken things. I REALLY love the car... but it's just not something I can keep. Two nights ago it was almost stolen and I just can't take it anymore.

I bought the car new myself in December of 1998 from *EDITED FOR SAFTEY* WI. I have been the ONLY owner of this car. All the mods listed were done by me and the pictures that I'm posting now, are the fairly recent pics. My car is currently at the dealer being repaired from the last attempted theft. As soon as I go to pick it up I will post brand new pics of everything.

MODIFICATIONS and UPGRADES:

-J-spec B18C dohc vtec engine WITH OEM Limited slip differential ( purchased at jdmhondaparts.com { they are now jhpusa.com }and I have the paperwork on that )

Also, the engine is a OBD I so I'm using a Skunk 2 adapter harness with a JDM P72 ECU.

-Injen CAI one piece race design. ( has CARB EO plate right on it )
-2.25" exhaust piping from cat back to a magnaflow muffler.
-OEM Honda cat
-7mm double shielded spark plug wires
-ITR fuel pump
- Spoon Thermostat
(had an SAFC but that was stolen, the harness is still wired in and I can leave that or unwire it, your choice)
-16 x 7 SSC multispoked aluminum wheels
- Sumitomo HTR + 205/40/R16 tires ( great in all types of weather...,yeah i didn't think that was possible either until I tried them )
-Tokico Illumina 5 way adjustable dampers
-Skunk 2 coilovers ( for civic )
-Mugen knock off rear roof spoiler
-96-98 OEM Honda front lip
-96-98 OEM Honda rear lip
- factory side skirts
- Red H emblems, Carbon fiber OEM 'Civic" logo, and RS logo
- Black housing headlights with blue ion tinted lenses
- MTEC gold ion headlight bulbs
- Stanley OEM 92-95 Honda amber sidemarkers
- CTR shift ****
- CTR style shift boot
- Si instrument cluster ( with about 71,000 mi. engine has between 25,000 and 55,00 miles on it)
- Also keeping in are Sony Xplod 6 1/4" 3 way front door speakers and Sony Xplod 6x9 3 way rear speakers. I will just include the stock radio ( am/fm ) because the theives stole most of the other stuff.

I also have a BRAND NEW Skunk 2 intake manifold and a BRAND NEW edelbrock Pro Flow header with CARB EO # and ALL neccessary included gaskets for install.

It has passed emissions with flying colors..Here's my report...

Just called the dealer. He said probably tomorrow afternoon would be ready to be picked up. So then I will post all new recent pictures of everything. I can make some short vids too for anyone seriously interested.

Where in wisconsin? What was stolen and what is being repaired? Any paintwork been done on the car? Any dyno or 1/4 times?

 

I live in Kenosha, but it happened in Milwaukee. I had an SAFC, a camera mount, 2 subs, and an amp stolen. There were like 2 MINOR accidents, none of which was my fault. No frame damage done though. Just stuff that had to be replaced. ( bumper, light. etc...) Never raced it. No track time or dyno. It doesn't matter to me really what kinda numbers I put down. It just mattered that I had fun building the car and to have fun with it. The car was never abused or beat on, but wasn't babied either. Just driven. I'm just waiting for the dealer to call me when the stuff has been repaired. ( ignition, doorlocks, etc...)

not sure if you are up for trades... i have a Dark grey eg hatch sohc turbo.. runs 13.6 in the 1/4.. and that is before i had a tach.

im very interested in your hatch... but, i would like to get more info on the repairs... also... maybe you can work on the price just a tad... im from MN...

The dealer should cover that right? so it will be a little longer before I can sell it.. I have the worst luck with thieves...

 

i think they should be held responsible... anyhow... still interested.. if you can have it ready by this weekend... or if something else dont happen to it... hopefully i can work something out to get it by next weekend....

Wow clean ride. Damn theives suck. I didnt think theft was that bad around this area. Good luck with the sale man....
