did you mount the HID's in the OEM headlight or is it an after market projector headlight? Got any close up shots of the lights? Or any info on how you mounted them?

I'll post more pics of how the seats are in there tonight.
The HIDs are OEM BMW X5 projectors in some black housing aftermarket housings I got from Island motorsports. unfortunately I didn't take any pics while putting them together. basically I cut a hole in the back of the reflector and JB welded the projector in. then just did some wiring and it was done. it's not that hard, took me maybe 4-5 hours, there is a good write up somewhere on this site, or check out xenonforum.com (i think that is it).
as for the hood, I would love to have an OEM hood, but I got this one for a reason. for some reason, my stock hood would only get hot right where the two vents are on the evo hood. the turbo is quite a bit in front of that spot, but it'd still only get hot to the touch right there. so I bought it, and dremeled out the vents (louvre style) and I've noticed asignificant difference in surface temp of the hood. which leads me to believe that the underhood temps must have been effected at least a little bit. And, least importantly, I kinda like the way it looks now, it grew on me. it is agressive looking especially complimented by the headlights.
BTW I understand the difference now, thank you.

the HIDs still have tons of light escaping from the sides, cutoff is nice, but it may still be blinding people.
And that hood looks like CRAP
