Now that i've dumped about 4 grand into my B16a etc. TOday i'm cruzing around and meet a kid with a CRX Si, so while i'm driving behind him on a huge road, i figure hell, with this new engine, i can show it off a bit, blow around him. Too my suprise, i couldn't even overtake his Rex, his Si motor kept up if was not better, couldn't even get by him... I know I have a either Defective head gasket or else a slightly warped head due to some radiator fluid being burned. But what can be the reason for this. Is it just me?

 

something isnt right...evrything hooked up properly?...got the right ecu?..need a tune0up?...got your timing right?...etc.

 

Maybe he was a better driver than you. Maybe he did a better job on his swap tuning wise.
Did you even know what engine he had?

 

How long have you had the swap in car?
Check everything.
What were your rpm's when you began to pass?
Has the car ever ran hot?

It's just you, that hasn't happened to me since I got my B16 swap.

 

me too...until i found a great tuner and built my motor.

 

Do you know the guy's set-up? Maybe he wasn't as easy a kill as you thought...

 

Phew, ok, its good, talked to him today, we were looking at that today and the motor was h00ked up. Thought i was going crazy

 

so it was just hooked up....details?
