Can i Use a b16 headgasket and b16 ARP headstuds in my b18c1?
Well i have to change my headgasket and its much easier to get a b16 one.. so i was wondering if i can use the b16 headgasket and if i can use the arp headsteads for a b16.. also do i have to replace my tensioner? its fairly new.. only a couple thousand miles on it.. but do you have to replace it everytime you take the timing belt off?
The headgaskets are the same. They might be different in thicknesses but I'm not sure about that. The head studs are different for sure. You have to use the headstuds that match the bottom-end dexk height and head that your using.
So if you have a b18c bottom-end you need b18c head studs whether you use a b18c head or b16 head. if you have a b18a/b bottom-end then you would use the b18c head studs. if you have a b16 bottom-end then you would use b16 studs whether its a gsr head or b16 head. So yes, you do need b18c head-studs.
