Default Why would you use only the ITR exaust cam?????

I just purchased a P72 gsr head and recieved it in the other day. I first noticed that the exaust cam had a much bigger lobe than the intake and after compareing it to another set of gsr cams it was much bigger than the exaust cam of the real gsr cams. After miking the cam it was determined that the exaust was a ITR cam. WHY would anyone use just a ITR exaust cam and not the intake. I have heard of people using just the intake but not just the exaust. Does anyone know why you would use just the ITR exaust cam? Please let me know.

That's a good question. I have seen people use 97-98 ITR exhaust cam and 96-00 CTR intake cam, just to add that in for a thought.

It is still an improvement over a gsr cam, the reason no one does it is because it's not enough of an improvement by itself to warrant the price tag.

I kinda thought the same. I guess Ill see if its any better than the GSR cam. LOL. I am going to purchase a Type R intake cam soon but I dont know if I am going to use the CTR or the ITR.

Partially true. But 2001 ITR cams are the SAME as 2000 ITR cams. So it's 2000/2001 ITR Intake cam=CTR intake cam.
