Default Extremely puzzled over OBD2b to OBD1 vtec conversion (SEARCHED AND SEARCHED).........

hey guys, I've searched through an enormous amount of archived ls/vtec topics and sent PM's to see what parts I will need to run an OBD1 ECU in my OBD2b soon-to-be-lsvtec integra. I have already purchased a new OBD1 DOHC VTEC distributor and will be getting an OBD1 chipped p28 and conversion. I've read in threads that mention obd-1 alternators and injector clips, but in all my pms i never came across one that mentioned these items.

So basically, I wanna run obd1 lsvtec in an obd2 car, I have an obd1 vtec dizzy and will be using a conversion harness and chipped obd1 p28 ecu. what else will i need...............

If you already have a complete OBD2B Integra, and will be installing the LS/VTEC engine the only thing you need is conversion harness and OBD1 ECU. Use your old engine harness on the LS/VTEC, and add any extra wires as needed.

thank you very much for the info, i've been going crazy since the conversion should be getting done in about 3 weeks, and wasn't sure how interchange-able the sensors, injectors, etc were from my obd-2 car with the new obd1 ecu.

I needed a vtec distributor tho, since my ls one would need a leg chopped off of it.
also, since i needed two I got free overnight shipping from distributor king and a 3 year warranty on it (my gf's bro is doing the same swap).

nope you need an obd2 since the only diff is the plug. you match the dist. with the engine harness youre using.

You'll just have to put the plug from your OBD2 Integra distributor onto your brand new OBD1 Vtec distributor.

and when you resell the LS one itll just be an obd1 dist. since you could put the obd1 plugs on it.
but i wouldnt mess with the new dist becasue thatll void ur warranty
