Yea i just got my ITR about a week ago, and been driving it fast here and there but i been lucky so far. Just know where the cops hide and try to take it easy. Besides that, driving fast and hard all the time isn't doing your engine any good. Save the speed for when you need it, say when a eclipse pulls up next to you or even better a mustang that thinks their ride is hot ****.

The only time I ever drove 100mph in my ITR was when I ate this nasty burrito and had to hurry home.

Try to slow down a bit when you drive. Insurace for a R is already high enough, you do not want to add to it.

Your nickname is high school was 'Brown Nose'?

It really depends where you live in terms of getting tickets. I'm generally 15-25 over the limit and have not recieved a ticket in 5+ years in NorCal. However, in NY where I used to live I would probably have lost my licence several times by now due to the much stricter enforcement.

Race autocross. You'll find yourself redirecting all those lead footed tendencies to an environment that actually encourages it.

Ironically when i had my 1st car, a Dato 120Y shitbox without a starter motor plus sharing the family Sigma wagon and then the girlfriends lancer, over 4 yrs, i copped about 15+ fines. (thanks for those who gave me some of their points)

ITR in the last 2.5 years, about 4 or 5 fines.

I know what the ITR is, so i waste half as much time ****-farting around on the public roads.

Oh man, there just had to be one of these posts didnt there! Well i suppose since were all telling each other how much of dumb fawks we are for driving too fast i will share my idiocy stories as well.

Lets see:

Well, i had to serve four days approximately a month ago for reckless in VA (See sig). Let me just remind as well as inform those who dont know VA very well. VA doesnt take **** lightly.....and if your an out of stater, it doesnt mean ****. I think of how much $ i spent simply on court fees, fines, and hiring an attorney and it makes me sick. When it was all said and done i spent close $3000 for the whole incident. Just think of how many mods i could have put on my car.

Moral of this whole story: Slow down and dont drive like an *******. I have learned my lesson and hope that either this helps teach you one or you get caught bad enough that it puts you in your place.

4 speeding tickets in 3 years? haha, i got owned with about 10 tickets in 3 months. You name it, i had it. Street racing, speeding, careless, wreckless, obstruction of view(track numbers, and gauges), and a lot of warnings...Too bad the genius cop didn't check everything. otherwise, i'd be in jail . And to top it all off, i am on probation for 1 year. Anymore tickets = walking to work.

I feel ya on the VA thing. I'm from MD, and am down there quite a bit visiting friends. I'm always on edge, especially when I'm in FFX county. It seems that everyone I know down there has multiple speeding/illegal equipment tickets, and more than a few have done time. VA

Before I got my ATS FD it was hard for me to keep my speed down on the highway. Try cruising in 4th gear...that should help keep the speed down. I have been VERY lucky with no tickets in my ITR. I've never even been pulled over in it. Good luck

Autocross and HPDE's have really helped curb my habit of speeding

A typical autocross event should cost less than $50.00 -- Here in the Milwaukee/Chicago area events are between $20-35 (depending on if you are a member of the club hosting the event). A hell of a lot cheaper than speeding tickets and raised insurance premiums, IMO
