Which gas do you use?
run the top that you can find. otherwise you'll get some knocking problems.
for one trip out to california from texas years ago, I did manage to get by with 87, but not recommended. it also hurt milage. yes, hurt it.

in nj only 87,89,93,94 are available...i usually get 93....i cant stand gas prices though....im about to buy a honda insight soon and leave the s2k in the garage...getting 210-250 miles on a full tank sucks!!!!!!

Some places sell different octane ratings due to their altitude. So if you live in a higher altitude like Denver or something, the 91 will work just as well there as the 93 will in Dallas or some near-sea level city. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

I don't buy that, especially since Indiana has crap for gas with various additives that are supposed to be more environmentally friendly. when an octane is around 93... it is actually far less than that.

I've lived in IN for 20 years and know of one gas station locally where I can purchase 114 octane and one in Loogootee, IN (1.5hrs away) where I can purchase 104 octane.
