Default question on painting

i just bought a new stock spoiler for my 95 accord. it comes primed and ready to paint. the local autostore has cans of duplicolor spray paint that i can match my color code to but will that be good enough to paint it? if so how many coats of the paint should i put on and how many coats of clearcoat? thanks

i'm no professional painter, but you'll probably want some type of clear coat as well, to help match the shineyness (is that a word?) of car color. nothing like having a 'glossy' paint job on the car, and flat paint job on the spoiler.

good luck. i'd say your better off bringing it to a 'professional' paint shop like macco, or however you spell their name, and have them just paint the spoiler. it will problably cost more, but in the end, i bet it would look nicer, then just spray painting it.

just my .o2.
