Photos of my new toy....

This is my first RC build and I thought I would share it.
I know the body could be trimmed better, but this was my first attempt and trust me......I won't make the same mistakes on the new body when I get it in the next week or so.
The RC is from http://www.yokomousa.com
Enjoy.
I played around for about 30min or so, but rain has prevented me from continuing my fun.
The only down fall to this RC car, is the fact you are at a constant high rev and you shoot through the battery packs fast as hell.
I need to come up with a way to conserve some power or atleast utilze something that will allow me to double my time on a battery pack.
But this puppy will get stupid sideways with a simple blip of the throttle.
I love it!

No tegs.
Just an AE86, 180SX, S15, and a FC (coming soon).
It is on a 1/10 scale, so I'm sure if you find a company selling a teg in 1/10 scale it would fit just fine.

That's pretty cool.
When I was trying to decide where to buy my kit I came across them and I actually thought they were some hole in the wall by the ways they have their site setup (all cheap like), but it's good to hear that they are actually a large shop.
I will certainly be doing a lot of business through them for most of my RC needs.

I had to purchase the motor, remote control (which came with the servo the control turning), a speed control, batteries and a battery charger.
All in all I spent about $450 in total getting this thing running.
I know it's a lot of money, but I love this little guy!

I love my car, I just hate the fact the battery pack only lasts about 5-8 min of constant driving and I'm only using a 19T motor.
The tires are quite nice actually.
They used a hard rubber compoung and added 2 slits (one on each side of the tire) for you to place thin, plastic rings in.
The plastic rings allot your tires to spin which enables you to drift a hell of alot easier then with straight rubber.

The rings more or less just slip over the tire and sit in there.
When I get home (around 8pm)....I'll take some shots of just the tire and show you what I mean.
