i would like to do it on something about motorcycles. ((ex: how to buy one, how to ride, or maybe even how to be safe on them, how to do wheelies, even how to pick out the right helmet?? **** i dunno!!!!...))

but i'm so lost rite now.. i've been staring at my papers for hours and have no idea how to organize all of this..
all i have to turn in is a keyword outline.. but i need/should be able to follow my outline as i give the speech, (we get an automatic deduction if we read it straight.. )

Informative Speech, huh? Try to focus on something more specific. It would be hard to incorporate everything about Motorcycle Safety into a single speech and still maintain the audiences' attention. Maybe what types of gear are available (leather, deerskin, textile/mesh). Or maybe just what types of helmets are out there (fullface, openface, shorty).

hey, thats great. i was just starting to jot down a bunch of stuff on helmets...like:

HOW TO PICK OUT YOUR OWN HELMET:
1. MUST FIND THE RIGHT SIZE
2. SHOULD BE THE STYLE U LIKE
3. MUST FIT INTO YOUR BUDGET.

i totally forgot about the actual different types. i suppose i could put those (fullface, openface, and shorty) under #2 huh?

Just put it in where it fits best. You could also discuss different testing standards and procedures, but this topic might be kinda stale. Unless you can bring in video or something of the testing procedure.

(I was going to do an info speech on something motorcycle-related once...a long...long...long...time ago)

Talk about the questionable relevancy of the Hurt report, and how it relates to us as riders 20 years later. What has been learned, what needs to be known, how has it changed riders and legislation in general?

The relevancy of helmet laws. Do non helmeted riders really present a cost burden to society?

The car/motorcycle mentality in Europe vs. the US. Europe: smaller is better. US: the bigger the better. Where will be be in 20 years. Does Europe lead in this respect?

That the French, do in fact, suck.

The future of motorcycle design? What leads it?

Talk in detail about the history of the Harley Davidson rider. Outlaw biker. Then talk about how they are all now Accountants and school teachers posting as Outlaw bikers and how Harley Davidson will be nothing more than a fashion line in 20 years.

The death of Indian Motorcycles.

A chronicle of the advancements made in professional motorcycle racing have advanced the field of motorcycle safety. Or with cars. Or both.
