Default 88 Si with a D15b block ?

I recently bought a 88 CRX si with a D15b block and what seems to be the Si head. (It has a stamp that reads PM3-3) Any Idea what car this motor originally came out of? The guy that sold it to me said it came from a "91". A "91" what is beyond me, but it seems to have the stock Si harness and computer. Anyone want to take a shot at telling me what car this motor came out of. I know the distributor is the same as the original because I bought the cap and rotor from the dealer for a 88 Si with a 1.6L and it fit just fine. Any ideas????

the a6 in my garage is stamped pm9-2. the b2 in my garage is stamped pm9-4. so unless there are different stamps it's not an a6. may be off of a 3rd gen si?

looks like he blew the motor or something and threw in a d15 longblock (or shortblock) and put all the other existing parts back on. they are all interchangeable.

searched pm3 and found a couple of threads confirming that pm3 is an a6 head.
