ive never done one, and there is no way in hell i ever would, good luck if you try it on your own, and the instructions that came with it should tell you what to do just get wiring diagrams so you know what wire is what in your car

 

go to a website called the 12 volt resouce i think, something like that if you just search for it and find the stock wiring diagram for your car, if it has all that and has the starter disable when the alarm is armed you're going to have to be comfortable with cutting your factory ignition harness. Instead of cutting wires like many DIY installs, it is much less difficult and time consuming to by some type of T-connectors to tap into all your stock wires, whch you're going to be doing alot of, and you also going to need a test light if you dont have one, the ones with the hook on the end where you hook the wire and then pinch into work alot better than the ones with just the point on in btw, if you have all that you should be good to go, oh yea what kind of alarm is it?

 

I heard search made a good DIY, it's called "alarm install"

it doesn't give you the remote start though
