Anyone running rich at WOT???????
So I had my gsr block bored and all new oem 01 R parts installed.....I have about 6500 miles on the new motor and I seem to be blowing lots of grey smoke (gas) out of the exhaust after 6K....any of you guys have this problem? I know honda's run a little rich stock at WOT for safety reasons, but this seems a little excessive....any feedback would be awesome, thanks!
I have the same thing , too...
I have a B18C motor w/ ported & polished head, big cams, valvetrain modified.. when VTEC clicks it.. there are sum greyish smoke comin' out just like yours....
my friend told me it's probably becoz there is a minor oil leakin' .. but a correct tuend up is definitely necessary !
i'll have my car tuned very soon... update u when i have got this problem solved

where do u think the oil leak is coming from?
I just want to clear something up...there is NO bluish smoke coming from the exhaust, just a greyish smoke...indicative of unburnt fuel leaving the motor...believe me when I say there is no oil blowing by....
Grey/Black smoke would mean excessive fuel. So yes I would think your running rich.
Its common in most vtec's i've seen at the track. Mine never did but I also had mine tuned after modifying.
If you were burning oil it'd be a white smoke, so I dont think thats your problem, there is quite a difference between white/black so I think your safe on the fuel assumption.
Get that thing tuned and then see if that clears it up.
