s2k launches.
i got a friend who just bought an s2k and he seems to be having trouble launching, either spins too much or bogs down.
i am sure this has been covered in this forum enough times but its 7 am and i am not searching.
any ideas? advise?
i've read alot of about s2k's having traction problems but always wondered if there is a sweet spot for launching or just need to go out and get better tires or anything else.

i launch at 5800 to 6000 at the track and it seems to do fine. spin your tires in the pit tho...before you go...
dont do that, unless you are running slicks.
i have raced many times at the track, and when someone does that with street tires, it drags all the rubber particles down the track, and causes less traction for everyone.
ask the track official if you have questions......

There is a good thread on this at http://www.S2KI.com. Check it out. Some very experienced S2K owners launch at 6K - 7K to get the tires to break loose...this causes less shock on the differential.

God I hate people that spin through the water box on street tires.

good news we lowered the tire pressure since traction was the issue and he ended running half a second better so now we are a little more plrease he still should be about 2-4 tenths faster but we can work on that.
