Default Compression Octane?

Hey all. I'm looking to get some performance out of my EF 4 door. I got a Z6 Head in a trade for some stuff. I am wanting to put it on. But being as its my beater I dont want to run high octane fuel in the car (trying to save money for the money hungry supra, lol). Now the y8 has a metal head gasket im told and is stronger. I may eventually boost the 4 door with my stock supra parts and run like 6-7 psi on it.

So the questions are:
Can I run 10:1 compression with 87 Octane? (seems kind of stupid trying to go fast on **** gas.. probably just put 93 anyways)

Can I run 10:1 compression on 93 octane with 6-7 psi? (t3 similar turbo - toyota ct26)
Itll be a ghetto project.. low budget.. May have a vafc1 but prolly more like an apexi 5 **** for tuning.

if your gonna boost it, the metal head gasket dosent help against detonation.

look into a chipped ecu turboedit.org for proper boost tuning.

use good gas.
