Default Code 1...damnit

Cliff notes first:

what would cause someone to throw a code 1 instead of a code 41? whats the difference between the two? ok the info..

i have a ls/vtec swap into a 92 vx. Thanks to poison wiring up the o2 for me, code 41 went away! i also got a new IAT and cleared the code 10. Then today i was drivin along and the CEL came on. Code 1. I shut it off for a while and started it up again a few hours later to drive. No code. driving for a few minutes and boom, theres the CEL again. Anyone have any thoughts?

02 is code 1, the cel will turn off once u kill the power then come back after a little while of driving. My friends car had a similar prob, after replacing the o2 it didnt fix it so I just pinned it directly to the ecu, Prob gone.
