swap is in my hatch and i get vtec and all but i still cant beat my brothers stock d16a6 in his crx, this is welfare, so i think i am going to sell it and build up some crazy d series, btw no codes either

ur motor is fucked up or u cant drive
vtec cant be beat

 

i think its the engine cause no matter where we go from, stop, 60 roll into second, he just pulls...fukn doesnt make sense

maybe ur brother is packing heat it shouldn't pull on a b16a

 

well its a rebuilt d16 but it is rebuilt to stock specs, i am going to check my timing and then compression...

 

For sure man, when I had my b16, I pulled on d16s so hard!! On the highway this crx si pulled up next to me, we hit it at the same time(both down shifted evenly) and before you knew it I was like 10 car lengths ahead of him(in a matter of seconds). Something has to be screwy with your 16.

Check, timing, tps sensor, 02 configuration,codes, reset ecu. How does it run? Hows the driveability? Any idle, bogging issues? Ryan

is the check engine light on?
what ecu are you using?

 

Also how crappy is your clutch? Do you have much slip?

 

My only guess is something with the ecu, your brother is spraying, you cant drive

Do a compression check, timing, check valve lash

well i am only running one o2 sensor, no codes, i know how to drive , i just went out to gtech it and fukn ran a 17.17 @ 82, something is wrong with the engine, i am also running a pr3 ecu

 

my brother is stock si, no slipping clutch either..

 

Maybe the internals were messed with, compression check, costs $15 at any local place and theyll give you the numbers if you dont know how or have the tool

 

doesnt the b16 use two one wire o2's?

 

yup, wouldnt make that 4 second gap though

 

which tranny (ls = shitty times)

Change plugs rotor cap wire (this improved my car big time)
Check timing (skiped tooth on belt)
Check compression
Run two o2, or it runs real rich w/o code
Use honda top cleaner to get all that carbon out of the head
Make sure your clutch is not slipping at high rpms

then let u know how u make out
Stock b16a should whip up on a d series even IHE

hopefully tonight i can get timing checked and then wire up the second o2, if this doesnt work its gone

 

but like sadi before that missing o2 wouldnt cause it to be like 3 seconds slower than it should
