Default 24 hrs at Le Mans - What did you think?

And there we have it, Tom Kristensen pulls off his 6th win at the 24 hrs of Le Mans (5th consecutive win).

I just caught the end of it. I'm curious, does anyone know what became of the Mugen car?

Uhh, Sebastian Bourdais is an idiot for that move he pulled. Glad that Martin Short was okay after his accident, such a shame that it happened to him.

looks like they broke down around the 7 hr mark. Too bad. I'm still wondering how the C5-r's passed the prodrive ferrari's again... oh well, maybe next year. Cool race overall

About the 20 hr mark the #66 Ferrari went off track and destryoed the front left suspension. The COrvette made up their laps and when the Ferrari came back out it was on the same lap as the Vette. I don't know what happened that the Ferrari dropped out after that. (It was 3:00 am and I fell asleep)

Yeah, that was actually the #66. I went to bed at 5:30 my time (1/2 hour later) and the #66 had dropped 2 seconds to the Corvette in that 1/2 hour, instead of gaining like I would have expected. It was I think 8 laps ahead when it went off. It was weird seeing it drive around with that wheel locked Interesting that the #66 dropped so much in the last 3 hours, must have had a lot more problems to drop 20 laps.

Good race. I think the Corvette team deserves a lot of credit for solving the issues that they had and then come up with a class win. I was in shock at Fellow's 180+mph spin!

Pretty amazing how many of the highly-placed finishers were WAY behind the 8-ball earlier in the 24 hours. Lots of really good pit work - and spares - went into those victories. The 'vettes had, what - at least three really good wall-bangers?
