i dont know what it stands for...but i know what it does...
dummy explanation:
i think its variable gear steering. basically it adjusts the steering ratio for different speeds, makes it looser @ low speeds (basically requiring more turns to get the tires turned) and tighter @ high speeds (requiring less turns of the wheel to get the tires turned)
but yes, please...how much is the stock trunk lid and the cf one. and doesn't VIS use wet carbon in all their carbon parts? if so...does anyone make the trunk lid using dry carbon?

wouldnt you want more turns at high speed (more stability) and fewer turns at low speed (more manueverability)?

now, dry CF is what'll give you weight reduction!
the trunk looks nice though, what color is the car?

dry carbon, wet carbon, all moot. I was recently enlightened on the differences and lack there of. There's no such thing as "dry" carbon. That's just a silly word used in japanese-engrish translators.

so there's no difference between the two "grades" in carbon? cuz i've certainly seen different weight differences between what is so called "dry" want "wet"

I've never heard of "dry carbon" but I do know there's a huge difference in "grade" of carbon fiber. There's plain weave, twill weave, 2X2, 4X4 ect. The "grade" comes from the thickness of the carbon which is usually by ounces. "grade" is the quality difference between the fibers. And no, carbon manufactures do not rate them as A, B, C or D these are all buzz words made up by the manufacturers of crappy carparts.
