Clue to this riddle I believe is "Large white circulare Plug" that tells me in engine bay, and the MPFI controller must be the Fuse box for the rest of us.

Dude you need to reuse and modify where needed your Original engine harness.

You can't mix and match them between Models. They may plug in but they ain't wired the same.

To you, for sorta deciphering that. LOL

Yeah I agree, you need to modify the CARS existing engine harness. You can't just plug and play.

there is a large white plug thats circular next to your mpfi controller box, thats the one i'm talking about.. what do I do with it? it doesn't fit.

edit: its behind the upper shock mount on the drivers side.. the mpfi controller is the silver heatsink thing..

The silver heatsink thing is the injector resistor box
You need to RE-do your CARS original engine harness, with it's original plugs.
So that it will plug into that plug next to the resistor box.

Yes if you have the hasport VTEC sub-harness, and your original Si engine harness, AND the CAR is an Si you should be good to go.
Just depends if you have OBD0 or OBD1 style plugs.
If for some reason anything is missing from your sub-harness or Si engine harness, use the B16 harness to depin and insert the needed wires into the sub-harness. Don't cut if you don't have to.

Take it from someone who sat down with a SiR harness and started to check pinouts. No way can it be rewired, but its good as a core for plugs.

You will notice there are two ROUND plus one on each sides of the engine bay.

The SiR has things criss crossed on Some but not all things between the two connectors.. THats why it can't be repinned to work.

Like was said you have to modify the correct engine harness for your cars chassis to work. Thats coming from someone who has been there and done that.

And whated to see just WHY you couldn't use an SiR harness, Long story short, US cars run certain things left and certain things right, the SiR mixes them all up as to what side they go.
