Atlanta Mazda Rev It Up (Update)
Ryan Thompson still at the top of the leader board as of 4:30, and I was 8th in the pro class and 14th overall when we left. Melissa set the fastest time for ladies in the racing line clinic..
Ryan I hope you hold on to It and make it again this year.. Who knows I might make it down to St. Petersburg Next weekend

I just got an update from a friend working the event today. Alan McCrispin took over first place. The good news is maybe I still have a chance since he has already won St. Louis this year. I'm not sure how they handle that situation though.
Any more news Ryan?? That will SUCK if they let him take this trip to Cali from j00!
Stephen <- who was 3rd in club and 10th overall when he left and a bit surprised actually.

Ryan, I can't say if it would be official or not... but when I was talking about it in Boston with Daddio and Caroline and again, I can't say this in an official capacity... but I was told that my points in Boston wouldn't count becuase of winning NY and Daddio same thing... wouldn't have counted in NY or Boston.
Can't wait to hear the final word! WOuld be cool to see you out there again this year!

Accordign to what a friend of mine working the event told me its official. He asked the officials and thats what they told him. But then again there is nothing on the website yet to make it sound that way.
I'm really hoping I get to go. I had a great time last year. It was great to meet everyone out there. It'll be even better this year now that I actually know you guys.

Mad PROPS!!!
I tried staying on the gas like you said but the car was pushing like crazy. Couldn't keep it on the line. I'm sticking to racing on R-compound tires...2 laps was not enough to get used to street tires again in a competition situation. I'm used to a lot more traction.
I don't know about you guys but I didn't like the Mazda 3. It might have to do with me not doing well, I would much rather have my Honda

Wow, can I say how relieved I was to see that Renee Hines didn't run, and Melissa didn't catch me? <wipes brow> I figured those two had the best chance of catching me for the women's points, considering their experience in FWD.
Ryan, hopefully I'll see you in Cali!

has to sweat it through two more weeks!

I got official word that I get to go to the finals.
Karen,
I don't think anyone else has a chance to edge you out in my opinion. Hopefully the scores will stay like they are for you. If anybody was going to have a chance I would have said Renee but I guess she didn't go.

hehe
thank goodness too! I knew you were the one I had to beat out ...I tired my best. The brakes were a little weird...you had to be careful not to shave off too much speed and the course they had set up in Atl, you definately had to carry your speed...it was a fast course! I was blazing my last run, but got a little out of shape in the last slolam and nailed a cone
I was just glad I had a good time! I did manage to score a 13.2 second run on the racing line clinic which was only a few tenths off the pro time....i got a round of cheers! That was nice! (the starter said "lets see a 13.2" I said "okay!"
when I came through and saw that time! I pointed at him and laughed! LOL
