Default Hows this Deal Sound??

Im looking too get a 89 crx si.I called them up in the paper. Its advertised as 1989 crx si,silver,195k,kenwood cd,quick and dependable $1350.I called them up today.I talked too his wife. She said it was in mint condition. He is a civil engineer and keeps all the maintance records on it.There are no aftermarket parts in fact she didnt even know what that meant.Im going too go check it out tommarow too see it.They said it is in perfect shape with no rust.It is silver too!Which is rare i believe.I will go see it tommarow, how do you think it sounds as far as price?Should i offer 1k?

Don't lowball the guy

$1350 is a steal if it's in the shape his wife said it's in. I assume it's a one owner car?

Hey, if you can haggle the price, why not? It sounds like it is in good condition. Check it out in person, drive it, and see if it is worth the money he is asking.

because 1350 is already a steal.

That's way below market value. I can see if he was asking $2500 and you wanted to run him down a few dollars.

Maybe somebody should alert the seller as to how much he can really get for the car

lol, I know.

I'm just saying if I found a good car that cheap, I wouldn't bother trying to haggle...I'd just pay the asking price.

I've dealt with sellers before that can get pissed off if you cross the 'bargain' line, and then they'll just absolutely refuse to sell it to you.

If you can get 1k for it then damn take it. I wouldn't low ball him to much about it though, he may know his cars and maybe just looking for a quick sale. And as far silver being rare, I think you maybe correct, I think my 89crx si was silver because my engine bay is silver but my car is black. I'm thinking of turning mine back to silver or just leaving it black and painting the engine bay. We'll see what happens, as far as your deal goes, I'm sure he can get 2500 or more for his car if he wanted. I know I wouldn't even though mine the way it sits now I wouldn't sell it for lower then 1800 bucks. I have 138k miles on my stock motor and my car is still in ok condition, I'd tell you to put your deal somewhere I'm sure you wouldn't like.

Got my Silver 89 Si for 1200 (canadian) lowerred with slips and a few strut bars, I hate myself for buying a car with rust though, easy to fix, but it will never completely go away
