Default how to raise the car?

the car in question. 1990 Honda Accord LX
What would be the cheapest way to have my car at a normal hieght for driving and then to be able to raise the ride height of the car 4 or 5 inches when it is raining?

P.S. It floods alot where i live and my car has been flooded twice. 4 or 5 inches could have saved it both times.

id sell it and get a truck
cause something like an air ride with enough lift is not gonna be cheap or reliable for daily driving.

the setup is going to cost more than what your car is worth.

Yea I'd pick up an older toyota truck if I were you, an accord just isn't gonna lift 4-5 inches, an airbag setup like that would cost a hell of a lot more than your car is worth (probably close to 15K because you would need so much custom fab work). Just pick up an older toyota tacoma (my dad has one and its an awesome truck its like a car inside) and use it as a beater for those flooding days.

yeah i would suggest developing some way that you could get your car above ground when it floods(like some platform you can drive it onto that will hopefully be high enough) then have some beater toyota truck to drive

there was some car on tv, a vette i think, rebuilt the underbody waterproof!! and it could just drive into the river a float and go at a steady pace, prolly cost lots $$$$$
good luck with preventing the flooding

put it on a level surface, and put floor jack under, and start pumping away, and voila, you have raised your car....

haha it would look funny if you were romping around lifted above the rushing water....thatd be a priceless foto...it would be costly and ugly though if you wanted to raise it like that. you could get an air ride suspension, its common on trucks to be lifted as much as 10", but i hope you have bling, your car is 14 years old and probly not worth that much
