1989 crx hf cluster question

What is the green arrow that points up for? Is it a shift light of some sort? I know it comes on sometimes when im driving but what is its purpose?

you're supposed to look up when you see it. kidding it's the shift for optimal fuel consumption.

yep, think all HFs had them 88-91 for the best fuel economy obey it lol, I notice sometimes it would like to shift when its really not needed...

fyi... not ALL hf have them... i have an hf and it didn't have that nice green arrow... i was kinda disappointed actually... i wanted to see how inefficient i could be....
