battery light turns on and off randomly. i changed the alternator, checked the fuses, battery has 12volts when the car is on, and when it is off. everything[lights, radio, dash] all work, so it cant be the battery, the alternator was slightly used, but no more then 3 days in the car before it was removed. any ideas?

my battery light has been on for a month and everythin still works proper, I gotta take it in to my mechanic and get him to check the chargin system...if its all good out comes the bulb!
