Default My rings are bad! need some advice

i have a 92 hatch with a b18b and a drag 3 kit . I recently blew out my rings in cylinder #4. I was just going to replace all the rings and rod bearings with factory oem parts. i want to buy new pistons and rods...what kind should i get? what compression? do i need rods? or can i just use my factory rods with arp rod bolts? i heard that b series rods were strong in the first place. Also what company sells good pistons? i need some opinions.what are some people running with inside there b18b swaps? give me some idea's. i just want to get pistons and rods. thanks...new member by the way.... honda-tech is great

If you can afford it, I'd go ahead and go with Pauter rods and CP pistons. If you're in the mood to sleeve, go ahead and get a set of Benson's. But why did you kill your rings? Are you running the FMU that came with the kit? Why not replace it with some real EMS if you're pockets are as deep as you say?

Personally, I'd go with some 9.0-9.2:1 CP pistons, Pauter Rods, OEM or ALC bearings, and some Benson sleeves if you can afford it.

Talk to Earl...he can set you up for everything. I think the pauter rods are on a few weeks backorder though, so if you can't wait, go with some manleys or something. I'm not sure about a package deal, but the benson sleeves are $950, the pauter rods are $690 and I'm not sure about the pistons.

CP's and eagle are all you need (btw you can find the eagles for 300 shipped ). Don't worry about the sleeves or block guard.
