Default coolant leak

hey guys, i am new here so forgive me if this is in the wrong place. recently i pulled the top timing cover off of my 92 accord to check the belt. I have since then had a small coolant leak come about. looks like from the bottom timing cover at the back side of the block. does this mean my water pump is going out? the was no coolant on the timing belt when it was checked, and I have since tightened everything I can find including oil pan bolts, but it still seems to only leak when fully warmed up. any help would greatly be appreciated. thanks

sounds like your pump may be on the way out. They are designed to leak a little before the go all the way bad.

I'm having a similar problem....roughly how long can it last before it goes? And ideas? or is it just going to be random?

yeah, your water pump is going out. Best advice according to Chilton, replace your timing belt now and while your at it, the water pump..

It does leak once the engine gets warmed up and after you turn it off on most cars...

Thanks guys, I had a feeling that was the problem since Bar's leak wouldn't fix it. Thanks again...The Hillbilly
