Default 00 SI brake setup

Hello people, i'm new to this forum but have been reading for a couple of days. well i was wondering how would you know if your rotors and brake pads need to be changed? my car has only about 25K on her, but brakes don't seem to be working so well, when i hit the brakes hard, the car just slides sometimes (also can be the tires).

Check and see how much brakepad is left in the front wheels. If you dont know what they look like, I'd say ask your dad or a friend to show u where they are and how much is left.

i personally only change the brakes when they start squeeling. i dont know when the rotors need to be replaced. i just wait till the autoparts guy tells me he cant grind them anymore. then i just buy new ones.
